The Stanberry Music Program is starting an instrument sponsorship program for our beginning bands. Starting next year, 5th grade students will all try beginning band. For many, however, it's too big of a gamble to buy an instrument just for their child to potentially not take band after a few months. The sponsorship program will help those students try beginning band that otherwise would not be able to.
So how's it work?
If you have an old instrument taking up basement space, you can simply donate it to the program where then it will be marked with a "sponsored by [insert donor name]". If you don't have an instrument, but would like to contribute, monetary donations are accepted and will be matched up with other donations to purchase instruments for beginners, also marked with donors. Donations are eligible to be tax deductible.
What's the end goal?
Our goal is to be able to supply 40 students with instruments (9 flutes, 9 clarinets, 9 trumpets, 5 trombones, 4 baritones, and 4 xylophones).
